Spanish Club – Grades 2-5 – Teacher: Mrs. Howard
Speak, read and sing in Spanish…
This club will broaden students’ vocabulary and tenses beyond the present tense through a variety of situational readings and dialogues about food, shopping, recreation, sports, and Hispanic Culture. Classes are held in Spanish and English with opportunities for students to improve their listening and speaking abilities through interaction with the teacher and with each other in Spanish.

- When: Tuesday from 4:00-5:00
- Cost: $10 for the quarter
Art Club – Grades K-2 – Teacher: Ms. Perez
For budding artists in K-2 grade.
Meets once a week on Mondays.
Session one is from August through December.
Session two is from January through May
We are doing creative explorations with textures, tactile and small motor skill development with exploring media and projects.
Fee is $20.00
Computer Club – Grades 6-8 (qt 1 and 3), Graded 3-5 (qt 2 and 4) – Teacher: Mr. Lau
Mondays after school from 4:00-5:00 pm in the Computer Lab.
Cost $5 per quarter
Students in computer club can work on different projects while having fun learning and using technology.

Clubs starting in October:
Russian Club – Grades 3-5 – Teacher: Mr. Wilkins
Students interested in practicing Russian should join this club. Students will practice listening, speaking, and reading skills in the language through conversational dialogues and songs. Your enthusiasm for learning Russian will be greatly appreciated.
No Fee.
Mandarin Club – Grades 6-8 – Teacher: Ms. Xue
Students will have the chance to learn more about Chinese food, festivals and its culture through videos and some hands-on experience. I will also introduce some games that kids/people play in China and students can play them, too. Near the end of the semester, maybe we are going to have a dumpling party, hopefully, that will deliver a great experience to the students about Chinese festivals and culture.
Film Club – Grades 4-8 – Teacher: Ms. Richardson
Film Club is open to students in 4th – 8th-grade students to watch short films and study the art of filmmaking. Students will become familiar with the entire process of creating a film, from writing a script to casting parts. Students will learn to think critically about different elements of film and will participate in weekly discussions about popular shows and movies in mainstream media.
